Fire Brigade Ski Day
A special ski day was organized for the members of the local fire brigade. Ski instructors Georg, Hannes and Hubert were skiing in powdersnow and sunshine with the whole group all day long!!
Most popular instructor
Our ski and snowboard instructor Alex van Klaver was voted “Most Popular Ski Instructor” of the Netherlands. This survey was organised by the Dutch broadsheet “De Telegraaf” and should help in our curse of attracting more guest from The Netherlands to St.Johann! Cogratulations to Alex, well done!!

Snowbike lessons can be organised by us too. On the foto you see Georg with his companion Robert who, despite no previous experience, was flying down the mountain on his snow bike!!

New from our world traveller “Johann”:
Johann’s love for sport goes well beyond the slopes. And with no snow
and no mountains anywhere to be seen in the middle of the Australian
summer, he headed to Melbourne Park to cheer on Roger Federer (no
Austrians or no Australians to support, so someone from Switzerland
seemed close) in the men’s semi final of the Australian Open. Now there
is no Roger either.
Who is Johann going to support in the final on Sunday???

After a fabulous 17 days in St Johann, Johann is reluctantly flying back to his home in Melbourne. While sad he is leaving his old homeland, Johann is looking forward to getting back to the beach and enjoying the rest of the Australian summer!

We are happy to announce the start into the new winterseason!!
On Wednesday 8th, December the lifts here in St.Johann will open and, naturally our skischool for business!
Snow is forecasted, that makes us all happy!

As of this coming winterseason we can announce the installation of 6 snowmachines for our children´s ski area. This should improve the snow conditions dramatically. Another step forward in our quality orientated skischool!!

TIROLEAN SKIINSTRUCTOR ASSOCIATION grants Quality Award
New Quality Awards for Tyrolean Skischools
Snowsport Tirol – TIROLEAN SKIINSTRUCTOR ASSOCIATION grants Quality Award
During the annual general meeting of the Tyrolean ski instructor´s association the Quality Awards were granted to Schischule Wilder Kaiser St. Johann in Tirol by president Richard Walter and vice-president Florian Kindl!
In his laudatio the president said:
“The „Quality-Award – Snowsport Tirol“ presented by the Tirolean Ski Instructor´s Association pushes the internationally valued quality to new levels! This is the first time we are able to measure Quality in our skischools. This guarantees the highest standards for all our guests!”
On February 2nd, 2010 the inspection took place in St.Johann in Tirol by representatives of the Tirolean provincial goverment and the instructor´s association!
Hammerle and Pfeil in their statement: “This skischool scores especially in the areas of organisation, customer care, marketing and high standard of instructors and therefore takes up a place under the 25 best skischools in Tirol!!”

Again this year the Skischool Wilder Kaiser visited the Irish capital Dublin. There was a very tough program, but a lot of fun was had by everyone! Freddie played his acordeon and all the instructors were busy teaching on the Kilternan slopes.

Tourist fair St.Johann
A fair was held by the Kitzalps tourist board.
Skischool Wilder Kaiser was able to present themselves on a stand to all tourist related businesses in the area!!
Felix and his beanie
A nice message reached us from Felix from Germany:
“We were travelling on a lake in Germany and it was so cold, we had to wear hats. Guess which hat I was wearing?”
As you can see on the picture our fan wore the right hat and we look forward seeing him again in the winter, when he joins his instructor Fritz in his ski academy program again!
The last tour
The last winter tour went to the Similaun in the Ötztal Alps. Beautiful weather, fantastic snow makes guides and guests equally happy!
Dublin visit
Hannes Weiskopf and Georg Weihs visited Dublin and came back with great news for the skischool: Existing contacts were confirmed, a new ski trip was announced and a new tour operator has been won for the skiischool. Another great winter looks on the cards!!
Tag Rugby
Organized by tour operator Topflight the Irish Tag Rugby Association spent a week skiing in St.Johann. Together with the instructors from skischool Wilder Kaiser a great week was had by everybody involved. The skischool also organised a snowfree, artificial pitch to make a rugby game possible. The week ended with a great skirace, where everybody could show, how great their progress in skiing was.
Already everybody vowed to come back next year and we all at Skischool Wilder Kaiser St.Johann in Tirol are looking forward to this!!
Irish soap star in St Johann
George McMahon, better known as Mondo out of the soap “Fair City” came to St.Johann in Tirol to enjoy a relaxing and peaceful ski holiday. A lot of fun was had and “Mondo” enjoyed himself immensley learning to ski with his instructor Tini Westen!!

Now it is official: We are the only skischool with 2 awards in one season.
The Tirolean ski instructors association recognised our potential and awarded us with the Quality Award 2010!
Feach Ski Trip
A wonderful week was spent by the Feach visually impaired children´s group in St.Johann. Instructors and children had a great time and everybody vowed to come back again in January 2011! Our thanks go out to all our instructors, who showed a fantastic spirit during this week!

Now it is official – we are the best of the best!
During the 7th international “Club Top-of-the-mountains” Gala night, we were awarded the touristic award 2010 – best skischool.
Quality before quantity, these were the words of club founder Helmut Rinnhofer, and other specialities were the factors our skischool.

At the beginning of October a team from the skischool visited Dublin to promote the skischool and the resort. Also a lot of friends were met and fun was had by everyone!
